Mustien perhosten silta

A meeting between Sámi and Kurdish musical worlds. Three Sámi joik artists – Ulla Pirttijärvi, Hanna-Maaria Kiprianoff and Ulpu Mattus – join Mood Suprim’s hypnotic rhythms, mystical melodies and electronic textures, in Inari, Skolt and Northern Sámi. The album grew out of Sufi-Suomalainen, a project supported by the Kone Foundation.

About

Where rhythm meets spirit

Mood Suprim taps into the transcendent power of Sufi music and joins it with the pulse of big beat, breakbeat and electro. Hypnotic grooves, mystical melodies and deep-rooted poetry become sound and movement – music you feel in your chest and your feet.

Each performance becomes a ritual of rhythm, where voices, beats and bodies rise together in motion and trance.
